Maybe you're not looking at the chart carefully enough. The chart shows a higher death rate in Sweden than in the US. That is what one would expect without SIP. I believe some feel they did better than the US without SIP.

I believe Taiwan and others who had much lower death rates did it with isolating the vulnerable and TEST, TEST, TEST with tracking and quarantine of people who were found to have it PLUS 80% or more of the population wore masks as they wore masks when sick before C19.
