Hi kirk,

Before we got on the road, we went to two of our favorite restaurants. One offers Mexican food and one offers fresh seafood from the Gulf.

Both were not crowded. One we stayed on the outside Patio.

Both were more expensive than in the past.

Here in Wisconsin we hit aout two favorites. Not as crowded as before.

I've switched from tapped pints to longneck bottles.

I did'nt feel good about people talking to me over my open tap of beer.

Kept my thumb over the bottle. Used sanitizer before going in.

There seems to be less fear of Covid in Wisconsin. It just has had little impact in my very rural environment here. Seems to be an urban event more so in Wisconsin.

Still the restaurant and bar scenes will be slower to recover.

A lot of people have been scared into staying home. Those who have stayed home are finding more money in the checkbook. I think that is helping car sales and DIY stores i.e. Home Depot.

Garden centers are out of many things in Wisconsin - much more so than past years.

We called ahead and brought flowers up from Texas. Our garden centers here in Wisconsin were out of stock for the spring when we called in advance. I even had a hard time finding compost up here!

Wisconsinnites love their flowers and hanging pots when spring finally comes. The green house we use said spring came a week early and they sold out completely earlier than ever.

So stay at homers are beautifying their homes and using them more.

It's really not at all that bad a thing.

My one way airfare back to Texas on June 16th tuned into a 6 hour flight with a stop (vs direct 3 hour flight), so I rescheduled for August 4th. No cancelation fees were in effect when I bought it.

Air fare will be slow to come back as well I believe.

Wisconsin is 68 to 82 and a perfect light rain on our transplanted tomatoes and peppers.

The Salsa factory begins another year.

Garden is one to two weeks late, but a bit bigger and more diverse than before.

Still need to borrow the neighbors tractor and till the lower garden for cool weather plants for the fall garden.

Cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli,Kohlrabi, brussel sprouts and pumpkins. Then the deer food plots.

Tough getting a late start.

Bob
