Duncan, I don't think so. Her credibility is central. Also, it may be that the courts find that the tape "evidence", having been acquired in violation of the law, is inadmissible; several law honchos have expressed the opinion that Starr was foolish to have accepted the tapes and that he should have deposed Tripp and Lewinsky instead. Apparently the "poison fruit" cannot be accepted as evidence.

Finally, the acceptance of the tapes may do more damage to Starr than to anyone else, as it may prove him to be either incompetent or biased, or both.
