Re: AIM and Inventory Control......................

Please don't mistake this for a recommendation. This is just a history as AIM has managed this holding since 2014. I've often mentioned that AIM is a business model more than anything else. It's a method of inventory control when the company or fund shares are the inventory in question. This shows AIM's Inventory Control of a stock with above average BETA.
CREE AIM Value Changes
Category % Change
Share Price +84%
Cash Increase +64%
Shares +32%
AIM Portf Value +117%

The first two years of this long term investment were trying times. AIM worked hard to keep inventory account value somewhere near the starting point by utilizing the cash held in reserve to add more shares as the price declined over that period. In August of 2017 we saw the start of a more prosperous trend and AIM started work to control dollar value at risk as the share price rose.

Even in this more prosperous time for the company stock there were times when prices fell enough to make modest inventory increases. The latest buy took place in mid March as the pandemic panic got into full swing. The drop was swift and the depression brief with just one buy (added 12% to share inventory) before the stock price started to recover. The first sale in early June brought with it a return of 86% on the March purchase price. Two more sales (5% of inventory each) have now occurred since. Note AIM has improved total return over Buy and Hold by a significant margin.

AIM for Inventory Control.............
