| | | Wharfie, this is one reason why the right-wing doesn't trust government mandates for mask-wearing and social distancing. Look at this photo of John Lewis' funeral:

Everyone is wearing a mask, but how much social distancing do you see there?
This is a church, and a lot of churches I've been to have poor ventilation. Everyone is sitting there for a couple of hours breathing the same air. Masks can help, but they're not going to be enough. I guarantee you that if X number of people there were infected with COVID-19, the number that will walk out of there with COVID-19 will be 2X or 3X.
I remember debating with Sdgla on this very forum about why everyone should be wearing masks. Even this post of mine got 4 "recommendations," most from left-wingers: Message 32839840
Like I said before, COVID-19 is a game of numbers. Obviously the mask by itself won't stop the virus, but a combination of mask-wearing and social distancing will help lower the chances of transmission. Of course the self-appointed Social Distance Warriors will NEVER call out the funerals of John Lewis, just like they never called out the BLM protests. Of course, they will always call out the Trump rallies.
And of course, people who have lost loved ones, especially due to COVID-19, are prohibited from holding funerals, even if every attendee were required to wear a mask and socially distance.
If it weren't for double-standards, liberals would have no standards.
