I'd like to see the US return to "Made in USA" requirement for anything used by the military...
Now to manage the resource allocation such that excess capacity is never achieved - as in NEVER sell top of the line equipment to CHINA

It used to be that way... we could manufacture our products outside the US but we'd make special hermetic versions for the military on chip fabs in the Silicon Valley and tested and burned in there too.

Basically you don't want a key component made offshore that you lose access to and it shuts down something you depend on. With so many high tech soldiers carrying wireless gear with real time video, often connected to the White House, we sure don't want those shut down if we get into a war of any type.
