That is because the people in CA have been beyond stupid and have turned California into a one party state. The Democrats have raised taxes everywhere they pleased and are taking a huge chunk of people's money from them. Rather than worry about SALT, why not vote the bastards out of office and repeal those taxes?

They do not have these problems in TX, FL or TN, for example.
