Ravens are pretty cool. Sort of the Al Einsteins of the bird kingdom. They hang around my barn here. Once in a great while I walk into the barn early in the morning to feed the horses and about a dozen will suddenly fly out.

I saw a Raven funeral once. One died on the place...I think he got electrocuted. One...I think the mate... perched on the fence and chattered for a long time. Others flew in from all around and perched for a bit and lent their condolences, I guess. Went on for a few hours. Animals are much more evolved and complex than we give them credit for. Except wild pigs...they are just a greedy destructive nuisance.
