I used to be able to eat hot-hot food... now I have to stick to medium to mild. In the early 1990s I went to Singapore for work to get the manufacturing team there to buy into a new product design we were starting there to lower cost of a very successful, but high cost US product.... actually one of the very first fiberoptic internet links that we took almost all the market share from AT&T with.... Anyway, other cultures LOVE it if you enjoy their food and give it a try. I managed to tie their best hot food eater for "how hot can you eat at this Thai restaurant?" without the benefit of alcohol, since I'd quit a few years earlier. Obviously, it was a bit painful the next day but worth it for the fun.

My GF and I used to go out and eat hot food when we first started dating 17+ (damn I'm getting OLD) years ago but now her doctor said no to that so I support her most of the time unless I can order my own dish then I'll sometimes get something spicy. Your normal salsa is probably too hot for her and I usually dilute it... great as a topping on avocado toast for example or with scrambled eggs.

Thanks in advance!
