Where is the science that indicates wearing a mask in any way prevents or attenuates the propagation of virus infections?
Its rather incomplete, mixed, weak and sometimes conflicted. My personal guess is that it has an effect but its not a very strong one. Somewhere between weak and very weak. But there isn't anything really solid behind that guess either, it could be wrong in either direction, on the low end to "almost no effect", or potentially even "no effect", or on the higher end to a moderate effect, or potentially even a moderately strong one.

For me its not about rooting for pro-mask or anti-mask. I'm not rooting for some side or team. I'm just looking at what can be reasonably analyzed and giving my opinion. "Wearing a mask causes brain damage" just has so much obvious evidence against it that it seems like a silly idea. Pointing that out does not imply "masks are great they stop Covid cold and everyone should wear them", let alone support for masks mandates or anything like that.
