I agree. Barring some really startling new revelation, I think it's all over.

1. No semen on the dress. No physical evidence, and the negative test results will do a real job on Lewinsky's credibility. Now even Ginsburg is saying she "exaggerates".

2. Lewinsky's deposition to Jones's lawyers, and the part of Clinton's deposition that speaks to his relations with Lewinsky, will not be presented as evidence at the Jones trial. There is now some question as to whether any lies they may have told would constitute perjury in any sense, as they are no longer considered material to the Jones case (see today's Post for legal opinions).

3. Tripp's motives, always suspect, begin to look even more so.

Starr no longer seems to have very much to work with. I rather wonder whether he isn't wishing he'd left the whole thing alone...
