History is full of pandemics. Also full of corrupt governments, police forces, gangs, etc. Still a lot of people like to live in crowds when it doesn't kill them so I imagine we'll run another cycle of exodus to save on taxes, rents will drop and people will slowly return. Maybe Trump will retool and buy up a bunch of buildings then sell them in 10 years for a large profit.
