I can't imagine why so many people want all these "smart devices" in their homes. The way I see it, each one crashes or fails to connect to the internet so often it wastes more time than it is worth. I didn't get washer and dryer with internet connection for this reason. Also, when they need an update that makes something you like not work any more or it fills with bloatware and you have to buy a new one just to get your functions again.... you're doubly screwed. How soon until they turn to AI thought police and try to "change" you?
