Yes and yes. The boy is fine, he has this unbelievable habit of staying up until midnight. We are working on it. Last evening my wife went to an engagement, so it was just young Luke and me, and he needed some attention. He is a very cool kid, the coolest of all of them at 2 yr. old.
Yes, there are dozens of very wise people on the thread, and a few wisea**s like me, and everything in between. I started the thread as a joke. It's gotten funnier every day. I try to stay out of the political thing, mainly because it all seems too silly to even worry about. The first 100 posts on the thread are basically where I thought it would go, and I've jumped in a couple of times to lend my "opinion", (post 133 for example) but mostly I am just looking at the whole thing from the sidelines.
I predicted last week that the "scandal" was over, nobody will impeach a Nobel Peace Prize nominee. I think that little move by the Nobel people was the coup-de-grace for the "Press", who, by the way, are the real slime in all of this, IMHO. I saw someone on the thread refer to the President as a "sociopath" and so on, that is rubbish. I think he is a basically good person with a large mountain to climb. (No, I did not vote for him.)
I'm too busy in the market to try and get really involved in politics, but I'm tickled that so many people made such a great contribution to the discussion. I love this country, and I respect all the people who work in any branch of the government or the armed forces. To a certain degree. I have a little surprise planned for some point in the future, keep your eyes peeled. :o) pete |
