Hi Kirk, Too much alcohol at times no doubt. But we never drink while chainsawing the ice and backing the shanty over the hole. Friday is work day and safety is big. We all wear ice cleats on our Muck boots, so traction is always there, We start spearing at 7:00 Am or so and all must be out of shanties by noon. Unless a kill happens we're very intensely looking down into that lightly lit 4 foot by 3 foot hole in the ice. The local joke is it is like hunting ducks looking up through your chimney - but it is not far off. LOL video.search.yahoo.com Bob
