Because of these and other twisted philosophical views , you obviously wouldn't care if Slick Willy was banging your 21 year old daughter, with or without her conscent.
I don't have a 21-year-old daughter, but I was once 21, and would have been deeply offended if--remember, I was an adult--my parents had tried to interfere with my love life. If I were the mother of a daugher who was having an affair with Clinton I suppose I wouldn't think it was a great idea, but again: it's pointless to try to run your adult children's lives. It's also demeaning: you, like some other men who've contributed here, seem to think women are either feeble or feeble-minded, unable to make their own decisions.
Let's assume Monica actually had it off with Clinton (which seems increasingly open to doubt), and that she hadn't confided in Tripp. What would have happened then? The affair would have ended, she'd have moved on, no big deal.
You may consider it "immoral", and it may indeed be tacky, but it most certainly shouldn't be the public's business. |
