Many stories on TV showing Oakland and SF businesses boarding up for the Chauvin/BLM protest or celebration. I didn't realize this put such upward pressure on plywood! The last time I bought a 4'x8' sheet I think it was under $5. WOW! Anyone know why it is so high? I know there is a lot of building in CA to replace the tens of thousands of homes lost to wild fires... but WOW! I had a new redwood fence put in recently and I paid $50 for each 12' redwood post but the rest of the redwood panels was more reasonable. Still the cost was about 50% higher than when I did a fence about 10 years ago. homedepot.com
