Three things:

(1) Biden has actually been much harder on China than Trump. He has continued and expanded on almost every component of Trump policy and then some. So if you think he has been the "nice old man" then you are letting your politics bias your perception of reality.

(2) As I said on a different thread, I am waiting for Chinese stocks to hit 5 year lows (some are not too far) and then I will start to selectively, but heavily invest in them for the long term. You make your money at the point of maximum fear, not when everything is going great.

(3) In the war with China, the US will be the bigger loser. The biggest reason is that the US has more to lose. China is the hub of the global supply chain and there are no companies in the world that will not be severely affected by China, should Xi decide to retaliate. Nor will the USD survive the battle.

This is not to say that China will be unscathed. To the contrary, they will be hurt quite badly too. But the US is more vulnerable. So I really hope that both sides can find a way to tone down their rhetoric and find gentler ways to fight (expecting peace and partnership is not in the cards for now).
