I sent that article to one of the gals I helped raise who is now an MD in San Diego and told her the article forgot to mention zinc and vitamin D are needed to be at proper levels to be effective but not much more to not bias her reply.

To me, COVID was completely mishandled. As soon as it showed up in Santa Clara, some think I and many others got it in December 1999, they should have come in and tested as large a percentage of the population as possible for antibodies. They should have done studies to see who was getting it without symptoms and who got it and recovered quickly. Find out what was different or good about their health habits and medications compared to those who got very sick and/or died.

If I got it and gave it to my GF, we wondered why her 93 year old mother didn't get it... If I recall at the time there were some BP meds that seemed to protect from of the elderly. Why wasn't all this data collected and put out for anyone with time and PC to process and maybe save lives??

I watched "The Last Ship" on TNT due mostly to a beautiful actress who played the part of the MD who made a vaccine for a virus that killed off 99% of the planet... it is NOT rocket science and it IS something we should have been better prepared for... rather than spending $57B more to do what in Afghanistan and elsewhere in the ME?
