From time to time at various intervals, "The Northwest Passage" has been open. It freezes over for a period of years and it opens up. The Vikings sailed it pre little ice age and then it froze over until it was sailed again in 1906. Al Gore is a con man. Man made climate change (AGW) is a hoax. The climate has always varied for millions of years. It has to do with the sun and the earth's wobble as well as magnetic pole shifts (which we are experiencing right now). There is some evidence that on average ,every 250,000,000 years or so, the earth flips upside down and North becomes the new South and vice versa. The last time they think it might have happened was 800,000,000 million years ago. So I guess you could say it is overdue to happen again.
