The local news station was debating what to do with a paroled child molester that had to leave his current housing and said he'd live on the streets since nobody wants him. I suggested he work for the CAL Fire and get meals and a place to sleep. They can recharge his ankle monitor each night and he can make restitution to society AWAY FROM CHILDREN for the remainder of his sentence. I'd like to see this sort of thing done for ALL felons on early parole... give them a tough job that they can do, gain personal satisfaction and have something to put on their resume... other than returning to the streets to steal or deal drugs again.
.
We should do something similar to for the bums we've changed from "pan handlers" to "homeless" to "unhoused" as each name gains a negative stigma reflecting parasites on society contributing nothing while consuming valuable resources. If they save up to pay their own rent, then I'm fine with them using all the drugs they want. If they have mental health issues that are so severe their families and friends won't take them in (usually due to stealing to support the drug habits to self medicate) then they should be institutionalized then let out on "forest clearing" and other useful tasks to gain jobs skills, the habit of showing up to work on a regular basis, etc....

but we have idiots in government that cave to the special interests which are quite often government leaders with family members in jail or homeless....
