It is the start of a good idea but to avoid the "Elroy Tax" I'd vote to take my stocks private and have them then pay us dividends...

My thought is we need a "sales tax" on ALL revenue and eliminate company provided health care AND company matching for Social Security. Also outlaw public pensions. Then have this tax fund health care and Social Security. To keep jobs here, whatever "sales" or "VAT" tax companies located here pay, we double it for imported goods to "recover the costs" those manufactures don't pay to distribute their wares here while escaping taxation.

I'd also set the corporate tax at zero, index capital gain to inflation then use standard income rate. With higher profits to be had manufacturing in the US where they don't have to pay health care and retirement costs for new workers here, companies will bring back more jobs and the shortage of workers to do those jobs will raise wages and thus tax collections.

Social Security, Medicare, health care, etc. are huge burdens on small businesses while large companies like Walmart or Amazon can manufacture in China, Vietnam or wherever is politically and financially expedient.

Trouble is politicians gain so much power by giving tax breaks, etc...
