Vaccine Mandates - Are they responsible for SW cancelling thousands of flights?

Will this spread to other parts of the economy?

It feels like we are in China in that the news agencies (fearfully?) fail to report why one airline is having trouble with weather and air traffic control while the others are not. The last line in this "story" from People (.com) online magazine gives a hint to the real issue:

"On Friday, SWAPA asked a court to temporarily block the airline from enforcing a federally mandated vaccination requirement, as they attempt to resolve their current lawsuit."
Will government mandates to get vaccinated force hospitals to shutter as many of their workers don't want to get vaccinated?

What will happen to already severely understaffed police departments in the major cities like SF and Oakland CA when vaccine mandates take effect there?

It is amazing the stock market has held up so well with this potential huge issue just starting to hit.

FAA says no air traffic staffing shortages reported

The Dallas-based airline said the disruptions were due to air traffic control issues and weather.
Sunday's cancelations account for 28% of the airline's schedule and marks the highest rate by far of the major U.S. airlines.
However, the union representing Southwest pilots told our partners at The Denver Post that its members were not participating in any type of strike.
