There is so much misreporting and distortion of data by the MSM and governmental agencies that it's difficult to tell what is really going on.
This seems to be the case. Much of the way Covid progressed made little sense.
I was in the Philippines from the start of Covid until August 2020. I lived in a resort island location that had a direct flight to Wuhan, China. Despite that, in the beginning there were very few announced Covid cases in the area where I lived, and very few in the major Metro areas (Manila, Cebu) as well.
The average Filipino was much less careful and isolated than US and Europeans. It's very normal for many many many family members to live in crowded environments. It seems like Covid should have rocketed through their population, killing many. But no, they had lockdowns, and very few cases.
Then, a year later, in spring 2021, Covid re-enters the country from 'returning overseas workers' I supposed, and the case count goes up by 10x.
Why the second time it hits, and initially not at all? There were a few cases initially, and the Filipinos are exposed to each other in much greater numbers than developed nations. Why it doesn't spread like wildfire initially, but it does spread like wildfire in wave #3?
It really makes no sense.
If instead of Warp Speed vaccines, we had focused on prophylaxis and early treatment using repurposed drugs (like HCQ and IVM), we could have saved hundreds of thousands of USA lives and probably eradicated covid before the vaccines were even available.
I've read similar info in various postings, but how do you know who to believe?
I've become highly skeptical of major media sources, and also am naturally highly skeptical of some guy posting his opinion on YouTube. The result is to just not trust anything, which I think is the average opinion on information sources these days. |
