I highly recommend a Bosch SHX3AR76UC/14 dishwasher (or today's equivalent). Bought one new in 2013 to replace a 1995 Whirlpool, which had been very reliable until the controller failed. The Bosch works super well and is whisper quiet compared to the Whirlpool. Made in China but with German engineering and QA.
