Of course, making sure the poor stay out of the wealthy parts of the city unless they are cleaning a house or blowing leaves around.

One of my neighbors who probably pays more in property taxes than many of the people "blowing leaves" earn in a year organized food drives all during COVID for all the kids and their families who attend the school that is on the other side of her fence. Many of us kept paying household staff while telling them to stay home... but not everyone was so kind and many suffered.

The poor kids are invited and welcomed into our schools and our school district is threatening to take away the charter of the hoity toity charter school that keep finding excuses to not accept these same kids.
I'm just saying that those who benefit from the system should be paying for the system.
Who TF do you think IS paying for it in California? Most of the income taxes collected comes from the 13.3% tax on those making over $1M a year and there are many here. They are also paying $30, $40, $50 or $60 THOUSAND a year in property taxes while the average home in the Bay Area is just under $10K a year. The poor live in OLD apartment buildings that have low taxes and thus low rent.

There is NO tax on food and rent in CA either so they pay very little for the basics.

We should kiss the rings of rich folks and hope they don't move to Texas and turn you blue so the poor kids there are treated better.
