No, personal foibles will cancel out when there are a lot of votes combined, each vote influenced a bit by the personal foibles as well as their genuine insights.

The problem comes when a billionaire has thousands of times more influence in the outcome of an election than the average schlump. Equality, at least at the ballot box, is what makes this statistical magic work.
