Obviously you live in Texas, not NY or CA where the voters keep slamming the rich with high annual incomes to pay the vast majority of our taxes. The super wealthy move to Texas or Florida when they've had enough. Eventually we'll be "stink holes" like Detroit and Chicago with Oakland CA having a good head start.

The wealthy are fighting like hell to have their SALT deductions restored, to keep wealth transfer things like step-up in basis, trusts, charitable contribution deductions, etc... so they can pass it to their kids, but the power of the voters to make a super majority of Democrats here... proves I'm right.
