Yeah, I remember saying many moons ago that it seemed much of Silicon Valley was set up for "disintermediation."

My point was too that some things that were once expensive are now free and disintermediation will lower costs for many more.

Consider Nike used to pay Amazon, Macys and Footlocker a large commission to sell shoes that neither had to advertise... now Nike sells directly.

Blockchain will or should assure me that what I buy is legit and not a knockoff copy so often found online. But it probably won't solve the counterfeit problem completely unless DNA testing is nearly free. I'm thinking here of paying for wild Salmon in a grocery store and being sold farmed salmon... and lots of others cheap fish sold as expensive fish.

I see it as EVs will replace ICE vehicles but I doubt Tesla's valuation will hold... even if they turn out to be a survivor like Amazon... they and any of the cryptos could see the same 95% decline that Amazon saw during the 2020 collapse.
