I believe many of us want to look at some items before buying for the first time hence the appeal of Costco and Walmart. I really don't have any interest in buying coffee makers, socks, organic boxed lettuce and coffee beans directly as the cost of shipping and handling small numbers is much higher than selling a pallet of goods to Costco where I pay $120 a year to enter and pickup and what we buy is more than covered by the 2% we get back on all purchases with the Executive Level membership.

A LOT of people are quite happy paying 20% over Costco prices to have the items picked up and delivered by someone else who might let the meat and produce sit in their cars awhile as they deliver to multiple clients on a single trip. This will be a great target for automation, especially if we change to a society that has 2 work from home days a week so the busy, well paid "shoppers" are there to get delivery from the delivery robots.

I'm not sure why I need blockchain in any of these processes unless it can cut another percent or two out of the fees we pay for credit cards and their security.
