That makes a lot of sense.

If I cypher your reply, I think you are saying the two "sides" of the major hatred issues don't listen to each other. Thus, I agree.

As for abortion, I agree with you.

I am also mystified at how PETA and so many animal lovers will go to great lengths protecting animals, bird and reptile eggs, habitat and even raising funds to keep sick, suffering animals alive with heroic, expensive surgeries or treatments while they are strongly prochoice.

I just read a very good Grisham novel, A Time for Mercy, where a 14 yr old child was raped in the "Bible Belt" by a brutal cop the lived with and her slightly older brother shot dead when he passed out after beating their single mom nearly to death. The cops family tossed them all out onto the streets since the mother was not married to the cop...

I'm not sure if Grisham was trying to make a pro-life argument in a "timely" story about a brutal cop... or just commentary on that part of the country where the girl and her mother were given help by the church they went to until the mother said she wanted her daughter to get an abortion. In the end, they kept the child of rape in part as a way to influence the jury trying her brother for murder then her pro-bono lawyer adopted the kid to raise with no knowledge of how he was conceived. As someone who sees the arguments from both sides, I really enjoyed the book.
