Hi Kirk,

Thank You for that.

Associate with people that are better than you are, and you'll move in the right direction.

What a humble and totally correct view to have regarding a partner, whether it be work or marriage.

It is often refreshing and enlightening to listen to wise elderly people.

With my parents now both being gone, I find it hard to meet those kind of wise elderly people.

Sadly this year of Covid has whittled the number of seniors I consider wise and worldly down by two fine men who will always be great people to me.

As my mother lived to be 98 1/2 years old, it was common place for her to learn of a dear friend that had passed and she was 20 years her senior.

I was always amazed at the kindness that her friends shared with her. Including where they came from?

I'm now beginning to think that at some point in life, one seeks out the wisdom of the elderly.

I had taken it for granted, as it was always there for me to experience with my mom.

Like the old saying goes: You don't know what you have until it's gone.

At 69, I hope to be that wise old man for others younger than I.

In between, I'm still looking for a good old role model to learn from.

That really has touched me.

Thanks again.

Bob
