Warren said "better" not "smarter"... a keen difference. I do very well in the mental horsepower department and tried for decades to find women who could match or beat it. It was very difficult and often they had more "issues" than I have.. So I changed my criteria to find someone who is "nicer and kinder", traits I was not blessed with great abundance... and started dating my GF of 18 years after telling my father at one of our monthly lunches that I was going to ask this cute bank teller out because she kept flirting with me and is so nice. It turns out she was semiretired and owned a house near me and was working that job for health insurance and something to do close to her home. She said she saw me hiking around the neighborhood so knew I wasn't a bum and was upset it took me so long to get her hints... Anyway, she often gets frustrated and askes me why I like her... I usually say "I like a challenge" which gets a smile... I sent her that Buffett piece and said I let her pick me because she is kinder and nicer than me. Congrats on 84! Please keep sharing your wisdom here so us young guns (I sign up for Medicare next week to start in April) can keep learning. Kirk out
