Hi Kirk,

This summer while away from Houston my neighbor of 26 years passed away from cancer. He was the kindest neighbor I've ever had. Most generous and sharing of his time.

He was a gardener supreme and had a complete wood working shop in his garage.

Over those many years, he showed me how retirement can be satisfying and challenging by taking on projects.

Life can be calm and friendly without a lifestyle of excess.

In his later years I took on all of his ladder tasks and loved being able to reciprocate for all the times he'd dropped what he was doing as I needed a tool of a board cut.

His wife has found the place too much to handle and has decided to move into a condo near her son in Austin.

To see her move and a new neighbor come in is almost decimating to ponder.

But yet life moves on.

I'm anxious to get to Houston and see what "Things to do" she has for me to complete before a listing takes place.

We live on a Cul de Sac and the entire neighborhood is contributing to minimize her tasks that Ken did for her.

The sweetest of people.

I never had a neighbor for 26 years before!

It's like having family, except it was so enjoyable one didn't have to get along.

Bob
