Ivermectin binds to the spike protein and also has anti-inflammatory action, so it will always be helpful regardless of the virus mode of entry. Bruce Patterson uses Ivermectin for many of his Long Covid patients, all of whom are virus-free and therefore the virus mode-of-entry is irrelevant.

HCQ inhibits endosomal fusion, so this means it is useful against Omicron.
