I don't know where the support for the biotechs will be. There are a lot of places on the long term chart where the support resides, and they are pretty much about 10 points apart.

What I do know is that the prospects for the biotechs, especially the genomics and computational biology is great. I am assuming that they are caught in the downdraft of anything without profits should be dumped. As a result many are cheaper or about the same price as they were in 2019/2020. This combination of future prospects and valuation makes them a compelling buy to me right now. I am just not maxing myself out so I can take advantage of rebound whenever it comes.

My plan of action goes like this: Buy the biotechs right now. Hopefully they will keep falling and I will double for every 10 point drop. When that cost averaging shows a profit (or the 21 and 55 EMA point upwards) a bottom has been reached and I will double down a final time. From that point on I will just wait until the sector comes into favor again.

Biotech is not the only area that I am going to apply this methodology to. The same goes for fintech, but it is trickier there b/c there is not as much of a track record. You have to be more selective there than with biotech, and that is really saying something <g>
