Jemuel, have you noticed that 90% of what BT offers is achieved with a $25 modem and that convenience of accessing cryptic PBX commands aren't viewed as worthwhile extensions given the cost of this system? Jemuel, the simple fact is, few people want to install and maintain a proprietary system to extend an already out of date phone system.

For those few that do, there are several competing products, most of which are are far more successful than BT is or will ever be, IMO. Look, a consortium backed by Microsoft and Intel has defined a standard voice and data integration and we'll see that develop into commercial products very quickly. That is, just say no to proprietary tangles and yes to industry wide support.
