allpolitics.com Meanwhile, Newsweek magazine, citing sources "close to the president's defense" is reporting that Lewinsky told another friend, Ashley Raines, about her alleged affair with Clinton. Wow, what a concept! Actually reporting which side of the fence the source sits. Newsweek is reporting that Raines told Starr's investigators that she heard tape-recorded phone messages left on Lewinsky's answering machine by the president. Wonder if Lewinsky realizes that just recording over an audio tape does not completely erase the previous recording? Bet Starr's team does. Now if it was a digital answering machine... S.O.L. :( Wonder if those news types could find out for us?
