Paul Tudor Jones was saying today that he can't think of a more difficult investment environment. Ray Dalio said the other day that we are on the cusp of a paradigm shift. What these calls boil down to is that big money is focused on capital preservation rather than capital appreciation. In practical terms it means frequent profit taking and investing conservatively. Of course, if you are a trader, then this is the kind of environment that you love as the rallies are sharp but the stocks mean revert to the downtrend quickly.
