FWIW, the top Elliot Wave guru on Seeking Alpha, Avi Gilburt, called a bottom and has an S&P 500 target of 5500 or so.
Summary
  • We began to prepare for the current pullback at the end of 2021.
  • The current environment has turned bearish, where even former bulls are now bearish.
  • I believe we will be bottoming soon, and starting our next bullish phase to 5500SPX.
There is good money in it as he claims he's the number one paid service there with over 9,000 subscribers. I clicked the free trial link and he gets $99 a month or $1,100 for a full year.

$1,100 x 9000 = $9,900,000 potential.

He also has a private website with a large staff "19 analysts serving over 6500 members" for a similar price.

I wonder if the two overlap or is the goal to funnel subs from SA to his own site...

The big question is if this worked so well, why don't they leverage it into a mutual fund with a fee or a private office fund and get rich? But the answer is usually obvious... I can find testimonials but no model portfolios with performance numbers...
