George Bernard Shaw once claimed that each of his words is worth a dollar (way back). A reporter in the audience wanting to put him on the spot to write a story, put a $1 bill in an envelope with a note, "write me a word." and had the bellboy deliver it while he was on the stage.

George pocketed the money. Wrote a word on the back of the note, and sent it back. It read, "Thanks!"
