You've nothing to worry about. The reason for your seeming forgetfulness of historic events and details is not your fault.

The reason is that the media flood us with the inconsequential, as evidenced by this current charade of a pseudocrisis in the White House, while not reporting important things in a manner that makes an impression or just plain not reporting them at all.

We should be asking ourselves--and the media--what else is going on in the Beltway during this titillating media feeding frenzy that will be of concern and consequence to our health and well being, or lack thereof, but that the media are not telling us.

I'm sure when Carter was doing his education thing, the media were too busy running after cute little Amy and Billy and his beer to tell the citizenry very much about boring things like education.

Don't worry, Jim, there's nothing wrong with your faculties. You cannot be expected to remember something that was underreported or perhaps not reported at all.
