I recall back in the early 60’s a Shell Oil TV show highlighting Hydrogen power as the future. A car filled up with blue crystals of hydrogen that, when parked in the 2 car garage, would hook up to a power system that would power the entire house. The exhaust was water of course. Mini nuclear reactor tech is available now that would power large neighborhoods or small cities. We have the tech we just need the willpower to make it so. As you so eloquently put it the lack of brain power added to the greed of morons/ politicians We’ve all witnessed since then is what we all are paying the price for.
