What will matter to me with the CPI is the monthly change. Y/Y will be high but if it continues to be lower, like 0.3% from last month, that annualizes to a much lower CPI a year out, which is what the markets are supposed to discount and the recent bottom should hold.

If it comes in at 0.8% again, I think the markets will make new lows as 12x0.8% is 9.6%, the highest reading in over 40 years.
