I saw you mention that we'll eventually turn to coal for electricity due to the current administration.

Well, we're just following Germany's lead into insanity... something I recall Trump warned them about on a visit and got laughed at...

Buried inside my San Jose CA newspaper today (ie not on the front page where they want people to think extra electrons still come from unicorn farts and solar panels rather than fossil fuel) is this interesting bit of climate/energy policy news:

Germany to limit use of gas for electricity production
BERLIN >> Germany’s economy minister said Sunday that the country will limit the use of natural gas for electricity production amid concerns about possible shortages caused by a cut in supplies from Russia.

Economy Minister Robert Habeck said that Germany will try to compensate for the move by increasing the burning of coal, a more polluting fossil fuel.
Odd that the snippet from the paper doesn't have the date of the article...

Fortunately it is Reuters so Google search led me to this.

I heard on the local news the guy on the "zero sense stamp" is considering lowering the 18¢ gasoline tax to help consumers. Next thing you know he'll show up in California with his Super Soaker squirt gun to help us during wildfire season.

The dumb as a box of f'ing rocks economic advisors in the current administration can't admit that the way to lower prices is to increase supply, not make it harder to get by BURNING FOOD to create biofuels (we have two new refineries that are being converted from gasoline to biofuel in Stupidfornia.... hence part of why gas for my BMW and GF's Lexus is about a penny from $7 per gallon at most stations here...

Ok... rant off.
