Ginsburg: Monica will appear

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 10 (UPI) _ William Ginsburg, the attorney for Monica Lewinsky, has confirmed that she will appear before the federal grand
jury investigating her alleged relationship with President Clinton.

Without specifying whether she'd invoke her Fifth Amendment right, Ginsburg told reporters today ''she will not defy either a federal court
order or a subpoena,'' when she appears in U.S. District Court later this week.

Ginsburg, who will file a motion today or tomorrow to quash Starr's subpoena, hinted broadly that Lewinsky will avoid self-incrimination.

Ginsburg said: ''She will do what she has to do, given the situation she finds herself in. She will not go to jail like Susan McDougal. She has no
intention of falling on her sword.''
