I got a "carrot email" from the power company saying they will give me a "reward" in the form of a rebate if I cut my electricity use between 4PM and 9PM today... this is the time people come home from work and turn on the AC and the output from solar is dropping like a rock (or like the sun falling lower in the sky) .

We have the "Big Three" event I wrote of yesterday on Facebook:
  1. Extreme temperatures over 100 in much of the state,
  2. smoke from wildfires over the Bay Area and much of the state
  3. clouds from a tropical storm that actually dropped RAIN and woke me up this AM!
