I think Biden is wise to invest in EVs for the post office BUT if it delays by a day removing the stinkpots that deliver the mail in my town, then I am against it.

I hike a lot and get to know the mail carriers via waving. The trucks are so old they stink from the pollution so I'd love to have them replaced by a modern hybrid or even a clean, new, regular ICE engine.

For now, our incremental electrons in FL and CA come from fossil fuel so going to EVs will just put more demand on the price of electricity and batteries. I'd prefer to see the battery EVs replace those who commute long distances or my buddy who travels a lot between here, Death Valley and Canada via his Tesla. Postal trucks might do better with hybrid engines since they stop and go a lot.
