I agree.. Chinese top- down authoritarian gov only exists/ survives for itself. China inclusively governs.. all Chinese citizens will share the same benefits despite being poor or being rich. JackMa as an example. A poor man, self- made billionaire once immensely popular, had the audacity one sparkling Beijing day to tell the banks they're low- life hock shops. He goes from a national hero to a Houdini disappearance.. his character assassinated. I lived in China & got the covid boot 2yrs ago mid- Sept. I'm not Chinese by birth or ancestry. Beijing governance does not work well with foreigners. It's suffocates. It's invasive. Beijing only has the hearts & minds of it's own people. Foreigners are just collateral/ maybe simple carbon as it shakes out there. I've travelled to 20 different countries since my boot, or will have been by the end of this year. To me, America is the greatest & safest country to be.. the Constitution, 'law & order', one's ability to become someone no matter the circumstance of birth. But, our individual, social & political inequalities... & declining infrastructures, plays out too strong. I'm the least safe in America of all my travels. One's freedom to go out & about doing their thing, can be perilous. *"..a mafia"? yeh.. try this, America's health care system.
