I see you posting this where most of the sensible folks have been banned... so here is my reply:

EXACTLY!

I've said for years that I WILL NOT invest in the sector because too many people hate them. Big funds like Blackrock reportedly boycott the oil companies and push others with money to avoid investing in them also.

Add to that you and your idiot politicians get bent out of shape when the investments pay off with profits that investors want paid as dividends or stock buybacks... so YOU go after those "windfall profits" forgetting there were many lean years of low profits and decades of stock market under performance... all the while so many of you get giddy to sit in line for the latest release from Apple that has a far larger profit margin.

The "years of bad business practices" is failure to fund and educate the idiot politicians as well as the technology companies who are in bed with the current regime providing untold value with censoring and slanted search results and news coverage.

The oil companies put all their eggs into the GOP politicians and they suffer now.
